Appox. Age

Equipment

6U

Our youngest participants are introduced to the joy of the game. This year we will run the 6U as a skills development league instead of just playing games. 1-2 sessions per week.

Generally 4-6 years old. Sept 1st, 2016 is the age cutoff for 6U.

We will use a 10" training ball.

8U

This is truly a skills development league with emphasis on proper hitting, fielding, and throwing mechanics. Semi-competative games will be played between teams. 1-2 games per week.

Generally 6-8 years old. Younger players who have shown a love for the game and want to play at a higher level are welcome to sign up for this league. Sept 1st, 2014 is the age cutoff for 8U.

We will use a soft 11" ball and pitch from 32ft.

10U

Offers opportunities to develop skills and sportsmanship. Compete against your peers in a relaxed yet competitive environment. The season culminates in a double-elimination tournament and the crowning of a league champion. 2 games per week.

Generally 7-11 years old based on USA softball calculations. Girls who still qualify for 8U but want to play at a more competitive level should sign up for 10U and go through evaluations to determine the best fit. Sept 1st, 2012 is the age cutoff for 10U.

We will use an 11" ball and pitch from 35ft. Modified USA rules will be used for safety.

12U

Players put their skills on display in a format very similar to competitive softball. The season culminates in a double-elimination tournament and the crowning of a league champion. 2 games per week.

Generally 9-13 years old based on USA Softball calculations. Players who qualify for 10U and want to play up should go through evaluations to determine the best fit. Sept 1st, 2010 is the age cutoff for 12U.

We will use a 12" ball and pitch from 40ft. Modified USA rules will be used for safety.
